Retreat FAQ
Can I come on my own?
Absolutely! Over the course of my time hosting retreats, most of the guests have come on their own. Taking this time for yourself can be a really healing experience. Coming on your own is also a great way to meet a group of like minded, lovely people who may even turn into lifelong friends.
Is the retreat suitable for all ages?
You must be over the age of 18 to attend a retreat, however there is no maximum age! In most groups that I’ve hosted there has been a big range of ages from people in their twenties to people in their seventies. The diversity is one of the things that makes the groups so special.
I’m a beginner to yoga, is the retreat suitable for me?
Yes! Going on a retreat can be a great introduction to the practice. The morning practices will be more energising and the evening practices will be more restorative. The classes are suitable for all levels with options to advance or modify the poses depending on your ability.
Is the retreat open to all genders?
Yes, the retreats are open to all genders. We welcome diversity! If you are booking a shared room, you will be sharing with the same gender.
I have specific dietary requirements, can these be catered for?
We cater for different dietary requirements, including specific allergies. Please let us know your requirements in your booking form. We offer plant based meals on our retreats and aim to use local, seasonal produce. If there are any food items you simply cannot live without, feel free to bring them along with you.
I’m nervous about a plant based diet! Is there anything that can be done?
For ethical and environmental reasons, our retreats are plant based. This can seem daunting if you are used to a meat-based diet, however we have creative and talented chefs feeding you during your time on retreat. Our aim is that you leave feeling inspired by how nourishing this kind of diet can be. However, this is your experience so if you do want to come along with extra snacks etc. please feel free.
Are there any extra costs?
The cost for the retreat includes everything outlined in the retreat brochure. There are no hidden fees. All daily meals, transfers to and from the airport and all yoga sessions are included. Depending on retreat, extra excursions may also be included. For example for the south of France retreat, a trip to a local farmers market, countryside walks, and a forest bathing session are also included in the cost. Travel costs (eg. flights) and travel insurance are not included.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes! You may spread the cost of retreats over monthly instalments. Please reach out to me at hello@nikkitimneyyoga.co.uk to discuss payment plans.
Do I have to join every activity/yoga session on retreat?
Absolutely not. Time on retreat is for you to do whatever feels best for you and your body. Everything on the schedule is optional, so you are welcome to join in with as much or as little as you like.
Is alcohol permitted on retreat?
Alcohol is not included in our daily meals. Whilst the drinking of alcohol on retreats is not encouraged, it is not banned. You are after all on holiday, so if you would like to purchase a bottle of local wine to enjoy with your dinners, please feel free. We just ask that you drink responsibly and respect other guests who choose to not consume alcohol.
What do I need to bring with me?
All yoga equipment is provided at the venue. In general, comfortable and casual clothes are appropriate for wearing day to day. It may get colder in the evenings, so it is advisable to bring some warmer layers. Please also bring:

Comfortable clothes for yoga practices
You may also consider bringing:
A book to read during downtime
