4 Week Yoga for Beginners Course

Are you new to yoga and want to learn more about the practice before joining a regular weekly class? This 4 week course is for you.

Running from Tuesday 7 Jan until Tuesday 28 Jan at 7.15pm, the classes will move at a slower pace and break down the foundations of common yoga poses.

They will be slow flow style sessions, where we learn the principles behind the practice including:

  • the connection between movement and the breath

  • how to move slowly and mindfully, tuning into how each pose feels

  • listening to your body and modifying poses where needed

  • how to use yoga blocks to support your practice

The aim is that you leave this course with a strong foundation and feel confident continuing your yoga journey in a group class setting.

Yoga mats and blocks are provided.

Start the new year in the best way with yoga, meditation, journaling plus vegan cake! In this workshop we will take time to reflect on 2024 and set intentions for 2025.

We will move though a gentle flow to connect to the body, before slowing things down with yin poses and a guided relaxation. We’ll then get cosy with a cup of tea, cake and put pen to paper as we work through journaling prompts which encourage us to reflect and set positive intentions.

Join us on Sunday 26 January for 2 hours of total relaxation at Chamber 22, Newent. Hosted in a beautiful converted church, the nurturing yin yoga and healing sounds of the gongs will provide you with the ultimate winter reset.

This Yin Yoga and Sound Bath session will run from 4-6pm on Sunday 26 January and give you the space to rest and decompress as we come into the new year.

Yin yoga is a passive and calming form of yoga where we hold poses for 3-5 minutes, targeting the deep connective tissues and promoting a relaxation response in the mind and body.

The sound bath then helps us to reach an even deeper level of relaxation by allowing us to bathe in sound waves in a meditative state. A combination of gongs and Himalayan bowls will be used.

Join us in the Portuguese countryside for a 5 night/6 day retreat, where we will practice yoga daily, dip in the fresh salt water pool, and unwind with relaxing massages.

The Quinta is located 40 minutes from Lisbon within the beautiful Alentejo countryside. It has been carefully designed with sustainability in mind, with furnishings created by local Portuguese artisans. The grounds are extensive, with plenty of quiet corners to put your feet up and take in the local flora and fauna. There is also a salt water swimming pool for a refreshing dip.

You will be nourished daily with delicious vegan meals, created using locally sourced produce.

Our yoga practices will take place in a spacious and fully equipped studio.

Corfu - Yoga and Exploring

Join me this September for an Indian Summer escape in Corfu with Adventure Yogi.


Come and join us on our September/October yoga holiday in Corfu, Greece. It is a beautiful Island with lush green hills and calm turquoise waters, and it is a great time to visit. It is still a really warm temperature of around 23 degrees so you can choose to relax by the pool or the beach but it is also cool enough to go walking and biking and exploring.

If you feel like total relaxation, stay around the pool and read a good book or walk a short 10 minutes to the local beach for a sea swim or try out kayaking and paddleboarding. If you feel like being more active the venue has bikes and can arrange a biking tour. Enjoy one walk day included in the price and see some beautiful views. There are a few days of exploring already included in the price.

When you arrive, enjoy an orientation walk of the local area and explore the grounds that are also an organic farm, growing specifically Kumquat – as well as seasonal vegetables and olives. The week will follow with beach days, pool days, a cooking class, a trip to explore Corfu town followed by dinner out and a day exploring an old village called Afiona that takes you to the iconic bay of Porto Timoni where you can relax on the beach after a 40-minute walk down the cliffs to the spectacular bay where you can relax for the afternoon.  Your week’s yoga holiday in Corfu can be as active or as relaxed as you like.

Our venue is brand new and has been designed and built in an eco-conscious way, following the guidelines of Green Key whose criteria ensure the highest standards of sustainability within tourism. This is important to us here at AdventureYogi as we search to find more venues like this. It is also an organic farm and the food that you will eat will be straight from the garden.

Enjoy yoga twice a day in the yoga shala and the day is yours to do as you please.

Our accommodation is a rustic renovated olive mill, with single room options as well as a twin and some triples, with a large relaxed communal space, or if you prefer to be outside, there is a large garden with an outdoor plunge pool to cool down. If you’re an animal lover, there are two cats and chickens! This accommodation is of simple design (the original mill is several hundred years old), so you won’t find mod-cons – but its character and peaceful setting make it very special.

Join me in Marrakech and the Atlas Mountains this April for a yoga and adventure retreat with Adventure Yogi.


This April, look forward to escaping the end of winter in the northern hemisphere and exploring Morocco. At an average of 25 degrees Celsius relax and unwind with this combination yoga holiday of adventure, culture and relaxation.

Your yoga holiday will take you from the Medina, souks and gardens of Marrakech to the Atlas Mountains, go for a walk, visit a souk, and Berber village and enjoy the wonderful scenery. Visit the beautiful Atlantic coastal town of Essaouira, with all of its colours and ocean breeze.  There are some days off in between to relax at the hammam, have a massage or read a book by the pool.

That’s right! Base yourself at our beautiful venue on the outskirts of Marrakech and whilst still enjoying daily yoga classes, enjoy exploring farther afield in this beautiful and diverse country.

First stop and only a 20-minute drive into the heart of the old city of Marrakech and the souks, included in the price is a guided tour of this area to get your bearings and then spend a day exploring and shopping here and drinking mint tea or relaxing at our authentically designed and furnished Berber retreat hotel.

Another day, a trip to Essouira to explore the souks and have less hassle than in Marrakech. Enjoy a leisurely lunch and take a walk along the long beach

The last day out is to the Atlas Mountains themselves, enjoy a walk amongst the beautiful vegetation and enjoy streams, spring colours and meet local mountain people. Explore the souks of Asni and lunch and a guide are included.

When you aren’t off adventuring, there is time to relax in your spacious private Berber-designed hotel with two yoga spaces, two pools, and plenty of outdoor lounging space with Moroccan courtyards and bougainvillaea romantically spilling over from private balconies.

For a really relaxing day spend it at the Hamam and spa. Feel invigorated with the Moroccan-style Hammam experience followed by a soothing massage. Float back to your room or relax by the pool in the warm sunshine or in one of the many courtyards.

Whatever it is you decide to do, there are 3 hours of yoga a day in the outdoor yoga Shala to re-energise and revitalise throughout the week.

Summer Weekend Retreat

Connect to the calm of the natural world in the Forest of Dean countryside.

Hosted in a secluded venue in rural Gloucestershire, the weekend will include yoga, meditation and sound healing, plus plenty of time to relax and take in the surrounding wildlife.

The Venue

The ASHA Centre is a holistic venue which aims to deliver social and environmental change. The site has acres of outdoor space with an orchard, herb garden, labyrinth, pond and stream. Some classes will take place outdoors to make the most of the beautiful setting (weather permitting).

The rooms are quaint and all ensuite. They can be booked as a single or shared occupancy.

All meals are vegan-friendly. They are freshly made on site using locally sourced or in season produce from the grounds.

Classes, meals and accommodation are included in the price. You will also receive a gift of a candle from local business The Forest of Dean Candle Company. More candles will be available to purchase over the course of the weekend.

During free time between classes, you are welcome to sit in the grounds with a book from the on-site library, explore the local woodland, or (if you’re feeling brave!) have a cold water dip.

Yoga and Sound Workshop

Join us for an afternoon of relaxing yoga and sound healing.

This session is all about slowing down and connecting to our calming energies through the healing power of yoga, meditation and sound.

We will start the afternoon by working through a selection of breathing and meditation exercises to help prepare the mind and body for calmness. Then, we will move through a a yin yoga sequence which aims to deepen your connection with your body and find a sense of mental and physical stillness.

The workshop will end with a blissful sound bath, led by Emily Dimer. A selection of crystal bowls will be played at a specific frequency to help attune the brainwaves and lead to an ever deeper state of relaxation.

Schedule:

2-2.45pm: Gentle movement followed by meditation and breathwork

2.45-3.45pm: Yin Yoga

3.45-4pm: Tea and snacks

4-5pm: Sound bath

Herbal teas and vegan treats also included.

Please bring a blanket and a pillow for your comfort.

Summer Day Retreat

A midsummer day retreat for you to relax, recuperate and reconnect with nature.

This day is all about you. Give yourself time to unwind and let go of the stresses that have been at the forefront over the past year. Connect back with yourself and be absorbed in the healing power of yoga, meditation and the natural world.

Weather permitting, a lot of the day will be spent outdoors so please bring sun cream and a bottle of water which can be refilled throughout the day. You will also need to bring a yoga mat, a bedroom pillow and a blanket. The classes are suitable for all levels.

Herbal tea will be available all throughout the day. If you have any allergies or dietary requirements, please let me know at time of booking.

The Venue

The retreat will be held at The Hamblin Centre in Bosham. The address is Bosham House, Main Road, Bosham, PO18 8PJ.

The Hamblin Centre is operated by the Hamblin Trust - a spiritual and educational charity whose purpose is to help people experience health, happiness and inner fulfilment.

There is a small plant nursery on site with plants and freshly cut flowers for sale. If you’d like to purchase some on the day, please bring some cash along with you.

Sound triggered epilepsy, those undergoing treatment for cancer, terminal illness, recent concussion (wait 3-6 months), those at risk of stroke or blood clots, varicose veins, those with pacemakers or other implanted devices and/or in first trimester of pregnancy

Pranayama and Restorative Yoga Workshop

A pranayama and restorative yoga workshop all about letting go and helping to restore balance. The 3 hour session is hosted by Fabi (Mind Balance) and Nikki (Mona Yoga).

The workshop will take place on Sunday 13th September from 3pm-6pm at Salt Water Studios, Worthing.

Workshop Schedule:

3-4pm - Pranayama guided by Nikki. A chance to reconnect with yourself through a series of breathing techniques. 

4-6pm - Restorative Yoga guided by Fabi. A deeply relaxing yoga practice to help you slow down and release mental and physical tension. 

The first hour will be spent learning about the importance of the breath for maintaining a healthy body and mind. When yoga was founded in the East centuries ago, the breath was at the roots of the practice. Today, the breath remains as important as ever. But, in our modern lives, poor posture and constant stress has meant that many of us don't breathe optimally, and our body and minds suffer as a result. In this workshop you will learn why the breath is so important and be guided through some techniques that you can practice in everyday life to help you breathe more consciously. 

The second part of the workshop will be a guided restorative yoga practice. We will start with a short somatic practice to connect with our bodies followed by deeply relaxing restorative poses. By activating your relaxation response, restorative yoga helps balance your whole nervous system. It is a passive practice that allows you to turn your intention inwards and to slow down. We will hold poses for an extended period of time to allow your body and mind to fully let go and relax.

All you will need to bring is a blanket and pillow.

Do you have a regular yoga practice that does not include arm balances, but are looking for the tools needed to build towards these types of postures?

Or do you have experience with arm balancing postures, but are looking to refine and advance the poses to work towards more challenging variations?

This workshop is perfect for you! We'll focus on a selection of arm balances listed below, looking at how we can build the strength and flexibility to nail these asanas. We'll also look at how we can add them into a yoga flow so that you can experiment in your own home practice.

Poses that we will cover include:

Crow pose (Bakasana)
Side Crow Pose (Parsva Bakasana)
Shoulder Pressing Pose (Bhujapidasana)
Eight Angle Pose (Astavakranasana)
Elephant's Trunk Pose (Eka Hasta Bhujasana)

2pm-2.45pm - Introduction and warmup flow
2.45pm-3.15pm - A 'how to' of each arm balance, including how props can be used to assist you in building up to the posture (lots of playtime!)
3.15pm-3.45pm - Short arm balance flow to give you a feel for how you can incorporate arm balances into your home practice
3.45pm-4pm - Questions, cool down and savasana.
