Rest and Revive Retreat | Cornwall

A 2 night retreat in a medieval former monastery. Set within 300 acres of farmland, the manor is on in its own peninsula surrounded by beautiful scenery.

This retreat is for you to embrace the transition from autumn to winter. Take this time to release that which is no longer serving you, welcome a slower pace and embody a feeling of ‘wintering’.

I invite you to a weekend of nurturing yoga practices, nourishing plant based food, and deep connection to the natural world.

PRACTICE

Our morning practices are dedicated to slowly waking up the body through breathwork exercises and mindful movement. Forming a slow flow class, the postures and sequences are designed to shift stagnant energy and leave you feeling ready for the day ahead. Different variations of poses will be given so each class is suitable for all levels of practice.

Our evening yoga sessions will focus on turning attention inwards and welcoming a slower pace. We will work through yin poses and yoga nidra to invite deep rest within the body and help to regulate the nervous system. Essential oils, low level lighting and relaxing music will be used to help promote high quality sleep.

REST

Each accommodation has been thoughtfully designed to help you switch off, unwind and feel well rested. This is your home from home, with every detail considered to help you feel comfortable during your stay.

After a peaceful night’s sleep surrounded by the gentle sounds of nature, imagine waking up in a room with views of the river Lynher and across the extensive gardens. Watch the sunrise, observe the local wildlife, and feel transported into a place that is embedded in history and a deep connection to the earth.

EAT

We will be nourished daily with plant based delights from chef Hayley North. I have worked with Hayley lots in the past I knew straight away that her food was the perfect fit for this retreat.

Hayley cooks from the heart and has a deep rooted philosophy around what we put into our bodies. Her wealth of knowledge in Chinese medicine and how this guides her approach to food shines through in every mouthful. She is passionate about high quality produce and natural ingredients, with each meal being inspired by travel, culture and tradition. Feel the love and care Hayley pours into her cooking, leaving not only feeling well-fed and nurtured, but also inspired to try some new recipes yourself.

Hayley will be providing you with a hearty breakfast, delicious lunch, and 2 course dinner each day.

Tea and fruit also available throughout the day.

EXPLORE

Erth Retreat is rooted within unspoilt land. There are no footpaths, no road noise, and no busyness. The only sounds that you will hear are the flow of the river Lynher as it wraps around the land, or the calling of buzzards, skylarks, deer and owls.

With views of Dartmoor to one side and the village of St Germans to the other, stroll through the 300 hectares of regenerative farmland and breathe in the pure air. There is no need to rush here. This magical place reminds us that we are part of nature, and during our time here we become one with the land that holds us. Wild swim in the tidal river, read a book around the firepit, or explore the ancient surroundings of this forgotten corner of Cornwall.
